Security
Security and privacy
- Scanned uploads
Every upload is scanned for malware. If the scanner is unavailable, the upload is refused.
- Encrypted attachments
Each attachment is encrypted at rest with its own key.
- DMs stay private from admins
Workspace admins cannot read your direct messages.
- No outside link fetching
Link previews are built only for Woosool links. Lamma never fetches arbitrary websites on your behalf.

Questions and answers
Is Lamma end-to-end encrypted?
No. Messages are encrypted in transit and attachments are encrypted at rest, but Lamma does not offer end-to-end encryption.
Can I invite people from outside my organisation?
Yes, if your admin allows external guests.
How large can files be?
Up to 50 MB per file. For larger files, share them from Khazna.
How long are messages kept?
That depends on the retention policy your admin sets.
