Cookie & local storage notice
Woosool uses no advertising, analytics, social media or other third-party cookies, and does not fingerprint your device. What it stores in your browser is strictly necessary to sign you in, keep your account secure and remember the choices you make — which is why you will not see a cookie banner. This notice complements the Privacy Policy.
1. This website
woosool.com sets no cookies at all. It keeps one item in your browser’s local storage: your light or dark theme choice, if you change it. The contact form’s small computation runs in your browser and stores nothing.
2. Woosool Account and the apps
- Sign-in cookies. Woosool Account sets a session cookie and a renewal cookie that keep you signed in (the renewal cookie lasts up to 30 days and ends when you sign out). They are sent only over secure connections and cannot be read by scripts.
- Device recognition. A random identifier, stored on our side only as a hash, lets Woosool Account recognise a browser you have used before so it can alert you when someone signs in from a new device. It lasts up to 400 days; if you delete it, your next sign-in simply counts as a new device.
- App sessions. Each Woosool app keeps its own short-lived sign-in for the time you use it, and Woosool Account signs you in to the apps without asking again.
- Preferences. Language (some apps keep it in a cookie for up to a year so pages load in your language), theme, layout and similar settings, and in Woosool Account a list of your recent searches that never leaves your browser.
- Your mail encryption key. If you use end-to-end encryption in Barid, your private key is kept in your browser, protected by your passphrase.
3. Sites published with Woosool
Visitors of a site published with Woosool Wajha get no cookies, with one exception: after entering the password of a password-protected page, a cookie remembers that for that site. Visitor statistics use no cookies, keep no IP address or browser details, and respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Videos and maps embedded in a page load only when the visitor clicks them; from then on, that provider’s own cookie policy applies.
4. Mobile apps
The mobile apps use no cookies of their own. They keep their data in the phone’s encrypted storage, and sign you in through your phone’s browser, where the Woosool Account cookies above apply.
5. Your choices
You can see and delete cookies and stored data in your browser’s settings. Deleting the sign-in cookies signs you out; deleting preferences resets them; deleting the device-recognition cookie makes your next sign-in count as a new device. Because everything listed here is needed for Woosool to work securely, there is nothing to switch off in a banner.
